I have realized that no matter how many times I pray I only get what I rightfully deserve

Ever dreamt of your own business?

Had you been into a situation where you'd given a really smart idea that greatly helped your team / company? And finally you hear your boss complementing with a BIG THANKS... Is that really sufficient? Or did you ever think your performance could have been rewarded better?

I had always thought that my mission in life is to simplify things - be it making my mom understand how "flickr" works or helping my client understand the working principle of "http"

Now I wanted to find a way to make it easy for potential technopreneurs (technology entrepreneurs) who had always dreamt of some cool technologies, software, websites or even some smart utilities but just couldn't realize it. This quest is the cause for the birth of dreamZhunt

dreamZhunt is a way to appreciate and reward smart business ideas (technology/ software/ internet related) sponsored by Netandhost. dreamZhunt is literally a "dreamz" hunt contest where the best dreamz (ideas) would be appreciated with the required (seed) funding and expert guidance. At the end of the contest, three winning ideas would be converted into businesses.

All the required seed funding and other resources are hassle of Netandhost - which means your duty, if you win, would be to run your dream business without worrying much about finances or other legal issues (or atleast to start with). Hey wait, did I say that you'll also get upto 15% stock option in the new business floated based on your idea?

So if you are working as a software engineer, business executive, student, or anyone else who has some cool concept but just couldn't find resources (or finance) to kick-start, this is THE RIGHT TIME.

All that you'd need to do is to submit your idea at www.dreamzhunt.com The best part is that you do NOT need to have any business plan to submit your idea. The application form is pretty simple and would not take more than an hour if you've something ready in your store.

Also, please dont forget to spread the message to your friends who might benefit out of this initiative. You've a large collection of logos, blog snippets (that you can put on your blog/website which automatically updates latest news here at dreamZhunt) and several other options to help spread the message.

If things work out well, we're hoping many other companies adopt similar strategies with their staff members that could be a win-win scenario for both. After all, selling "time" is a pretty old fashion of doing business :)

PS: Feel free to suggest your ideas to keep this event simpler, better and fun

Is Walmart a threat to Indian retail market?

Well, there had been lots of buzz about Walmart's discussion with Bharti bosses this week. Infact BBC quotes: A spokesman for India FDI Watch, which tries to limit the growth of foreign retailers in India, says Wal-Mart's entry threatens large numbers of jobs.

Is that really so? Can anyone justify? Perhaps the number of small business owners might go down but definitely not the jobs. Infact, Walmart's proven system would help create more jobs and add a good competition thereby benefitting the end-users.

A loser's talk:
"If Wal-Mart comes, they will sell goods at wholesale prices which will be cheaper and I will have no customers. I simply can't compete with these big supermarkets ... what will happen to me and my family? I'm worried we'll end up on the streets."

My point: If you think you can't really retain your "niche" loyal customers, why would you not consider working for someone who can run a better business. Is that really bad? In most cases, salaries at big companies are greater than profits made out of small businesses. After all, that is why most small business owners ensure that their kids get the best job out there.

By "beating" the competition, you're making an end-user lose the value. To conclude, try to partner with someone who can offer best value to an end-user or SIMPLY STAY AWAY
